Our Mission
At Daily Drop, our mission is simple: to help you explore the world affordably and experience life-changing travel by maximizing miles and points. Our team of travel and credit card experts is here to help you make decisions about which cards belong in your wallet. Based on your travel goals, we offer unbiased advice to help you make the best choices. Keep in mind that our suggestions require responsible credit card use.
Rating Methodology
Here at Daily Drop, we score credit cards using a proprietary formula based on dozens of metrics across six key categories: annual fee, welcome offer, rewards rates, redemption value, benefits & perks, and travel protections. Higher scores indicate better overall value.
We net the annual fee against statement credits you'll likely use and focus on a welcome offer's true return on spending (ROI) rather than just the headline number. We value rewards by their actual worth in cents per point, which is why flexible, transferable points typically score highest. APR is not a standalone scoring category because we recommend paying in full to maximize points and miles, but an intro 0% APR counts as a perk.
Our reviews are editorial and experience-driven. Our team has earned and redeemed millions of miles and points and tested these cards around the world. After all, we would not be Daily Drop if we were not practicing what we preach.

Our Take
If you’re a business owner who regularly stays at Hilton properties, this card is has some serious value. With automatic Hilton Honors Gold status, solid earning rates at Hilton hotels, and up to $240 back each year on eligible Hilton purchases (up to $60 in statement credits per quarter), it’s great for both everyday expenses and travel. The low annual fee is easy to justify when you add in perks, and while it's not the flashiest business card out there, for Hilton loyalists, it’s a super solid option.

How to make the most of your The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card
[.dontreco] We don’t recommend: Redeeming points for gift cards or non-travel purchases [.dontreco]
The value here is often well below 0.5 cents per point, which makes your hard-earned Hilton stash worth much less. Stick to travel redemptions to maximize your spend.
[.sometimesreco] We sometimes recommend: Redeeming points for experiences or transfers [.sometimesreco]
Hilton offers experiences like concerts, culinary events, and private tours through its Hilton Honors Experiences platform. While not always the best cents-per-point value, these can create memorable redemptions. Transfers to airline partners exist, but they’re usually not competitive compared to direct hotel bookings.
[.alwaysreco] We always recommend: Using your Hilton points for hotel stays [.alwaysreco]
Hilton points tend to shine when redeemed for high-value properties like Waldorf Astoria or Conrad resorts. You’ll often see outsized value when booking luxury stays compared to using points at mid-tier properties. Since Hilton allows for “5th night free” on award stays, stretching your points across longer stays is one of the best strategies.

Who Should Get The The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card?
1. The Hilton Loyalist
If you’re already staying at Hilton properties a few times per year, this card is a no-brainer. The automatic Gold status (free breakfast, upgrades, late checkout) combined with boosted earnings makes Hilton stays much more rewarding.
2. The Small Business Owner
This card’s generous earning rates are perfect for those with small-business expenses. If you funnel your spend here, you’ll rack up Hilton points quickly while working toward Free Night Rewards.
Who Should Not Get The The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card?
Travelers who rarely (or never) stay at Hilton properties won’t find value here. Since points can’t be transferred to other hotels or airlines at competitive rates, you’ll be locked into Hilton redemptions. If your business doesn’t rack up much spend in the bonus categories, or if you’d prefer more flexible points currencies, a Chase or American Express Membership Rewards card may be a better starting point.
Recommended Credit
A decent credit score of good to excellent is recommended for the Hilton Honors Business Card. But again, if you’re in a solid place with your credit and feel you are ready for a new card, don’t let the fear of being rejected keep you from applying. We’ve known several people to be rejected on their first application, use the reconsideration line, and be granted the Hilton Honors Business Card. The worst they can say is “no,” and more often than not, we’ve found these people want to help!
Daily Drop credit ranges are a variation of FICO® Score 8, one of many types of credit scores lenders may use when considering your credit card application.
