Our Mission
At Daily Drop, our mission is simple: to help you explore the world affordably and experience life-changing travel by maximizing miles and points. Our team of travel and credit card experts is here to help you make decisions about which cards belong in your wallet. Based on your travel goals, we offer unbiased advice to help you make the best choices. Keep in mind that our suggestions require responsible credit card use.
Rating Methodology
Here at Daily Drop, we score credit cards using a proprietary formula based on dozens of metrics across six key categories: annual fee, welcome offer, rewards rates, redemption value, benefits & perks, and travel protections. Higher scores indicate better overall value.
We net the annual fee against statement credits you'll likely use and focus on a welcome offer's true return on spending (ROI) rather than just the headline number. We value rewards by their actual worth in cents per point, which is why flexible, transferable points typically score highest. APR is not a standalone scoring category because we recommend paying in full to maximize points and miles, but an intro 0% APR counts as a perk.
Our reviews are editorial and experience-driven. Our team has earned and redeemed millions of miles and points and tested these cards around the world. After all, we would not be Daily Drop if we were not practicing what we preach.

Our Take
The Capital One Venture X Business card is a powerhouse for business travelers. Seriously y’all… it’s a game-changer with its high miles earnings and travel perks. While the $395 annual fee might seem hefty, the benefits easily outweigh the cost, especially with the annual $300 travel credit for bookings through Capital One Business Travel, and lounge access. If you’re traveling often for work (or have the means to even own a business card), this is a must-have.
Better yet, Capital One Rewards allows you to book travel or cover travel expenses from the past 90 days at one cent per mile. Plus, Capital One Miles can be transferred to various airline programs at a 1:1 ratio. Our team unanimously agrees that the Venture X Business Card is a top pick!

How to make the most of your Capital One Venture X Business
When it comes to Capital One Miles, the best way to maximize your miles is to redeem them for travel. And to take it one step further, the Venture X Business card will let you pay for any type of travel with miles. You can use miles to cover any travel purchases made in the last 90 days on your Venture X card, with no minimum amount required.
[.dontreco] We don’t recommend: Turning your Capital One Miles into cash [.dontreco]
With a Capital One rewards card, you earn cash back or miles on every dollar you spend. The amount you earn varies based on the card and how you use it. However, this method simply doesn’t provide the best value.
[.sometimesreco] We sometimes recommend: Booking through Capital One’s portal [.sometimesreco]
Booking travel through Capital One lets you redeem miles at 1 cent each, but you won't earn extra rewards or elite perks. It's better to book directly and then use your miles to cover the cost.
[.alwaysreco] We always recommend: Redeeming your miles for travel [.alwaysreco]
If a flight or hotel room can be bought with cash, you can use your miles to book it. Redeem your miles at 1 cent each for travel purchases made in the last 90 days on your Venture X Business card. This means you could redeem for airlines, hotels, rail lines, car rentals, limousines, buses, cruises, taxis, travel agents, and more. By redeeming your miles for travel, you’ll absolutely maximize their value.
But how can I actually transfer my Capital One Miles? Transferring your Capital One Miles is a super simple process. Just follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Capital One account online or via the app.
- Go to the credit card account with the miles you want to transfer.
- Click "View Rewards."
- Select "Convert Rewards to a Capital One Miles Transfer Partner."
- Follow the prompts.
- Click "Transfer Miles" next to your chosen partner.
- Enter your loyalty program number and agree to the terms.

Who Should Get The Capital One Venture X Business?
1. The Traveling Business Owner
If your business involves frequent travel, the Capital One Venture X Business Card is a solid choice. Earn 10x miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One's travel booking site, 5x miles on flights booked through Capital One's travel booking site, and 2x miles on all other purchases. It also comes with unlimited access to Capital One Lounges and Priority Pass lounges, which is freaking awesome. 2. The High-Spending Entrepreneur
If your business racks up significant monthly expenses, the Venture X Business Card’s earning potential makes it a smart choice. With 2x miles on all purchases, you'll accumulate rewards really quickly. This card provides great returns on your investment, especially if your business spends heavily in categories outside of travel. Who Should Not Get The Capital One Venture X Business?
Here’s a good rule of thumb: You probably shouldn’t own a credit card if you: (1) have a bad credit score, (2) are a non-U.S. resident (for this particular card), and (3) cannot control your spending. If your credit score is low, you'll need to improve it before applying for travel credit cards, as approval for the best ones, like the Venture X Business Card, is unlikely. Be honest with yourself: if a new credit card will tempt you to overspend, it's best to avoid it. Credit cards are crucial for earning miles and points, but they require responsible use.
Recommended Credit
An excellent credit score is recommended for the Venture X Business Card. But again, if you’re in a solid place with your credit and feel you are ready for a new card, don’t let the fear of being rejected keep you from applying. We’ve known several people to be rejected on their first application, use the reconsideration line, and be granted the Venture X Business Card. The worst they can say is “no,” and more often than not, we’ve found these people want to help!
Daily Drop credit ranges are a variation of FICO® Score 8, one of many types of credit scores lenders may use when considering your credit card application.
